On certain characters that can also be great. this also depends on what content you are playing and your own personal play style and if you even play those Warframes that specific way (like say Vauban or Mag). There are quite a few Warframe, whose best ways of survival is investing into their abilities range or duration, or from say Rolling Guard or Adaptation which can provide superior results. Also, for say Revenant? Ehhh, he doesn't really benefit too much from Vitality/Armour, as your Mesmer Skin can hard carry you as far as surviving. You may have to invest with an Umbra Forma etc However you may have already maxed them out, or you may want to. So I normally only need 1 or 2 Formas to fit two of them on most builds. I made them more powerful than the normal counter parts, but left them slightly short of max, but one or two spots. Like, I personally never ranked mine up to max, Umbra Vitality, Umbra Armour, Umbra Strength (Intensify). Others advice can help, but there are variables involved. Umbra Forma and using them, is one of those things, that you eventually just sort of know when to use most effectively, with your own in game experience and testing. Occasionally you can get them in Gift of the Lotus alerts, as drops or as you are already aware, Nightwave Seasons. Sentients were pretty scary once upon a time, but then DE nerfed them so the Sentient bonuses aren't that useful anymore.Īs Slayer points out, you can get Umbra Forma from Teshin every 8 week cycle roughly. While having Pressure on will boost Steel, taking a hit to base damage (compared to Primed Pressure Point or Condition Overload) at such a high cost makes it hard to justify. If you are maining a caster frame that needs to a ton of ability strength, then level Intensify, maybe Vitality, but keep Fiber low.Īs for the Sacrificial mods, Steel is worth it but Pressure not so much. If you were like me and leaned on a tanky frame at the time (Wukong), then rank up Vitality and Fiber, but keep Intensify low. It all boils down to your playstyle and preferred frame, really. But for right now it would be wise to keep the least useful one(s) at low rank, only to use as a booster for the more useful one(s). But the question you need to think about now is, what rank to level each one to? Now, once you play long enough and get a ton of Cephalon Simaris standing you will be able to get multiple sets and cover a variety of capacity costs. The Umbra mods are absolutely worth it, especially when used in a set.
